Cubs Ace Jon Lester spoke to the press about having to skip today’s start against the Mariners. He explained this as a normal issue for him–almost an expected issue.

True to his promise, Joe Maddon has Kris Bryant back in the lineup. Bryant will bat third and play third. Javy Baez will leadoff, interestingly enough, and play second base.
